Job Openings
Akita Health
Akita Health is building an AI-native platform for health insurers. Our mission is to help payers evolve from the villains of healthcare to trusted partners for patients and providers. We recently raised a Seed round led by Thrive, with participation from BoxGroup, Karim Atiyeh (CTO, Ramp), Chris Altchek (CEO, Cadence), and Marta Bralic Kerns (CEO, Pomelo Care). We're hiring for a few foundational roles on our technical team.We are currently a team of four. We plan to stay small and expect each person to deliver an outsized impact. We're looking for high-slope, highly talented individuals with a strong bias toward excellence. As an AI-native organization, we expect all team members to use AI in their day-to-day roles and to stay on top of new tools and advances. We expect engineers to be curious about the domain and the product in addition to the technology underpinning it. We offer significant autonomy from day one and above-market compensation to reflect our expectations. We are looking for a full-stack engineer (ideally with experience in security and/or platform engineering) who is excited about research engineering. We have a preference for specialists that can flex rather than generalists. Please reach out to Jacob (h’17) if you are interested.
Cascade Health
We’re building a platform that helps provider safely deliver cell, gene, and immune-based therapies using their existing infrastructure through a CGT workforce and AI clinical tools. . The market is scaling fast (projected 10× to ~$350B this decade), and accelerating the adoption curve creates huge impact on patient outcomes while driving economics upside to provider sites. Clear path to a $100M+ revenue business with a small share of the value we drive to the exocsytem. Please reach out to Jacob (h’17) if you are interested.
Planweave
Planweave is looking to hire a Founding ML Engineer. They’re working to speed up the building permit review process by using ML to check if the designs are up to give human reviewers a head start. It’s a hugely important for speeding up the process of building in California because right now many months is wasted waiting for reviews for projects.
They already have customers and are in the works of signing a big contract so seems like a good time to jump in if this is interesting to you.
Feel free to mention Ray (h’18) if you reach out.

SpruceID (YC W21) | REMOTE (US-Based Preferred) | Full-Time | spruceid.com
Spruce lets users control their data across the web. Instead of users logging into platforms, we believe platforms should request to access data vaults controlled by users.
We are hiring skilled engineers who care about making a real impact in improving public services, digital autonomy, and user privacy for the world. We work closely with public sector agencies, and have high regard for public servants. We have a strong engineering and customer-oriented culture, and are not simply a SaaS product or AI wrapper. Our roles are not for the faint of heart: you will be expected to work hard and learn a lot in this role.
Our engineers are ambitious to get outcomes for our customers and their constituents. On any given day, they may write great Rust/C#/TypeScript, deal with mainframe dumps, read policy documents, respond to technical RFIs/RFPs, manage on-prem environments, implement new NFC + Bluetooth protocols in Swift/Kotlin, create CI/CD processes that enforce W3C accessibility guidelines and i18n requirements, rewrite lost specs from disassembled binaries, figure out stablecoin payments, and design new protections for public key infrastructure. It is a team effort, and people with T-shirt shaped skills are able to collaborate and learn a ton from each other every day.
We are interested in candidates who want to be proud of the meaningful impact they make for society, even if it takes time to get right. This is not the right job for someone who wants to "join a cool new AI startup" that implodes or exits in under a year.

Graphon AI
https://www.graphon.ai/careers.html
Kat (h’16) is friends with one of the cofounders for Graphon AI, a startup in SF that is currently “half stealth”. Company builds graph-based infra for searching multimodal data in order to address context limitation issues in LLMs. They have a lot of funding (seed round) and customers/revenue and are looking to hire people ASAP.
Range they can offer for junior —> senior hires is $200k-$300k ish, and this is salary only (doesn’t include equity). Work expectations are ~50 hrs/week, 3-4 days in office. Please DM Kat (@kat c) if you would like to know more about the roles!
Immunera
Immunera (Stanford spinoff Chris is backing) is building blood tests powered by gene sequencing and protein LLMs. They’re a small team of scientists and engineers training models on large, real-world patient cohorts to get their tests to doctors. Their tech is published in Science and covered by NYTimes & STAT. This is a rare chance to build machine learning models for high-stakes decisions that impact more at https://www.immunera.ai/jobs (NYC-based and no bio background required).
Integral Privacy Technologies
Integral Privacy Technologies is looking for two privacy operations report writing roles. According to the CTO, a good candidate would be a strong writer, interested in reading healthcare privacy paper, writing reports about these papers and how it applies to a customer's data, and some statistical background would be nice. They can even be fresh out of school. Don't worry about knowing healthcare laws and such, they can train you on that. You'd mix academic reading/writing in a practical area. The CTO says strong analytical skills, written communication, and a good foundations of stats/tech are a good mix. If you think you fit, or know someone who does, then please let Hank (h’19) know!
