hackNY Sustainability
We are also heavily focused on the groundwork for a sustainability path for hackNY. Part of this work is taking a multi-faceted approach to identify and obtain sources of funding, including but not limited to: donations, partnerships, sponsorships, grants, and new programs.
We are currently in the process of developing a strategic fund development plan with the guidance of a seasoned nonprofit funding consultant. We're grateful to work with someone who has extensive experience helping nonprofit organizations increase their internal capacity to fulfill their mission and long-term goals.
I know that hackNY is an amazing community full of talented people who care about each other and are also doing good in the world. After 15 years, we are 368 alumNY strong and growing. The hackNY Board, Shy and I committed to strengthening the alumNY community and serving our mission of building a diverse and inclusive community to empower the next generation of responsible leaders in NYC.
Expect more details on our progress in future updates! Slack or email us anytime if you have any questions or suggestions.
