We’ve officially completed the 3rd week of the fellowship! Shoutout to all the alumNY who came out to the speaker series talks last week 🥰
On Tues, NYC Mesh talked about the their volunteer efforts to create their freely accessible, open, wireless community network. Then on Thurs, Mike Fiedler talked about his journey supporting the entire python community at Python Software Foundation. And yesterday, the fellows explored 12 stops on a food crawl from Jackson Heights to Flushing!

Russ Frank serves as the Director of Engineering, Platform & Core Data at Oden Technologies. Oden Technologies helps manufacturers make production lines more efficient, leveraging ML to spot problems in real time, reduce waste, and boost efficiency. Their software gives operators insights to make better decisions on the factory floor.

Alex Akers (h’13) started iOS development in 2009 and has an advanced knowledge of the iOS platform, in both Swift and Objective-C. He also has an extensive history of 10+ years working in team settings for high-stakes projects that have reached millions worldwide (React Native, Microsoft Outlook, Twitter).
