[hackNY News] 2025 Weekly Fellowship - June 09

The 2025 fellows met a whole bunch of alumNY this past weekend at the SSNON&TI Hackathon! Between the fellows and alumNY, they made 5 completely useless projects!

Also starting this week, alumNY are invited to join us for the speaker series! Scroll down for more info on this week’s talks.

From a Bad Day display demotivating users to self-inflicted malware to a “Buzzfeed quiz meets mean club bouncer with a psych degree in Bushwick” to a visual novel hosted on a medieval computer, check them out at Devpost. Everyone had a blast making stupid shit no one needs 😎 Thanks again to Fat Cat Fab Lab and MLH for supporting the event!

The 2025 fellows have officially joined the full hackNY slack- give them a shoutout in #general!

2025 Fellowship Picture of the Week

Shoutout to Gabby (h’25) for photo of the week! In the pic, the fellows are heading back to the dorms after the talk with Ambrook and ice cream!

Winners of the photo of the week are pulled from the 2025 Fellowship Album and win a silly 3D printed prize from Shy (h’14)! Submit your photos to the album (including alumNY) to be considered.
