[alumNY News]: Yay Summer!

Happy June, Happy Pride, Happy Juneteenth 💗 !!!

Help with Gloria’s post grad crisis: What coding projects/languages do you suggest I learn/do (if at all) before I start full time work in August? Ping me @Gloria Zhu. Or if you don’t have an answer, ping me and say hi!

Here’s what alum have been up to:

🗾 Gloria in Japan and Korea

I went to Japan and Korea for a couple of weeks to celebrate graduation/life before full time work.

I was a mile away from the Korean border and saw North Korea with binoculars at the Dora Observatory (was not allowed to take photos at the observatory unfortunately).

Jobs

  • Scale AI (NYC, hybrid): Enterprise Team. Technologies: Agent development, mostly Python, infra knowledge is a plus but expect to be full stack (infra to agents to front-end). Comfortable being customer facing and moving very fast. Mostly looking for Senior ICs and above. Please DM Devon (@devon, h’12) for more information.

  • Apricot: If you know a company that is hiring, you could earn $200 for recommending them to Apricot, a not-for profit which matches companies with displaced tech workers: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/brandon-pampuch_earn-200-dollars-for-helping-the-world[…]m=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAABgCsPMB_GB8ATVdsSDiUi0JSRA3BcMojQE

  • Treeswift: A new full stack role has opened up at Treeswift and this role reports to Emily (@ohemily, h’15). Please see this link for details.

That’s it for now! As always, if you want your cool things to be on the next newsletter, share them with us via Slack. Have a wonderful day, hackNY!

Love,
